Occupational Health and Safety Policy

This company is committed to providing a healthy and safe workplace for all its Employees, mentors, sub-contractors and students and to safeguard the well being of clients of this company.

The Penrith City and District Business Advisory Centre Limited Organisation Policy is accident prevention and that NO business objective takes precedence over safety. This responsibility also extends to off the job safety.

The company is also committed to providing effective rehabilitation to any injured or ill personnel and to control occupational health hazards in compliance with the relevant Acts, Regulations and Australian Standards.

The maximum benefit from Occupational Health and Safety can only be realised when identified as being our individual and personal responsibility, to which we pledge our full support and co-operation in all our efforts to achieve this common goal.

Management is Responsible For The:

  • Integration of Occupational Heath and Safety into all aspects of the workplace.
  • Promotion of communication and the correct attitude about safety as a normal component of the working day.
  • Planning, developing, implementation and monitoring of the O.H. & S. Program.
  • Taking of effective action to provide and maintain safe working practices and conditions in all operations.
  • Provision of training to follow operating practices which will safeguard all personnel.

Supervisors Are Responsible For:

  • The ongoing implementation of Occupational Heath and Safety within their area of operation.
  • Ensuring that persons under their control work in a safe manner and environment at all times.

Employees Are Responsible For:

  • Working in a healthy and safe manner and encouraging fellow workers to do like wise.
  • Supporting the employees involvement and consultation regarding Occupational Heath and Safety an the promotion of same within the workplace.
  • Reporting or rectifying and unsafe condition which comes to their attention.

Students Are Responsible For:

  • Participating in courses in a healthy safe manner and encouraging fellow students to do like wise.
  • Supporting the PBACL involvement regarding Occupational Heath and Safety and the promotion of same.
  • Reporting any unsafe condition which becomes apparent.
