ABOUT USOur History | Our Staff | Board of Directors | Honorary MembersThe People Behind The Advisory CentreJohn Todd, AIMM, MIEF, J.PExecutive OfficerJohn lives in Emu Plains and has lived in the Penrith / Lower Blue Mountains area all his life. John has been with the centre since July, 1992 and was previously a Bank Manager for the Westpac Banking Corporation for 20 years.He also holds a Diploma of Advanced Business Facilitation. John is a Justice of the Peace and is a member/Director of the following organisations:
Rosemary Spiteri Adv. Dip Bus Management,Cert IV Workplace Training & Assessment.Business Advisor /Trainer/MentorRosemary lives in Mosman and has been with the Centre since February 2009.Has an advanced Diploma in Business Management,Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training,Small Business Management Certificate and a certificate in Computer Applications.Previously operated Blue Mountains Food Co-operative and was a Senior Education Officer(Professional Development) at Tafe.Rosemary is well versed in all aspects of Small Business Management and can teach the entire Certificate IV in Small Business Management and a Certificate in Business Facilitation from Tafe SA.Her specialties are Record Keeping and Business Planning. Ian Willis, MIEFNEIS Program ManagerIan has lived in Penrith since 1982 and has been with the centre since February, 1993. Ian was previously employed by Westpac Banking Corporation and during that time gained experience in all levels of banking, including four years in the Bank's Unit Trust and Superannuation Division. He resigned in 1992 to start his own small business and holds a diploma in Advanced Business Facilitation and a Certificate in Business Facilitation with Tafe SA.. Ian is a life member of Mackillop Baseball Club. Ian has been delivering Business Advice for over 16 years. Member of the Australian Institute of Enterprise Facilitators. Michael Todd B Bus(Marketing),Dip Bus,Cert 111 Bus Sales,MIEF Marketing & Business Manager Michael is a resident of Emu Plains and has been with the Centre since September 2009. Michael has a Bachelor of Business(Marketing),Diploma in Business,Cert 111 in Business Sales and a Certificate in Business Facilitation with Tafe SA..He previously was employed by the Penrith Valley Economic Development Corporation as Marketing & Enterprise Development Manager.In that role he was responsible for the Innovation Advisory Service assisting businesses with their products through to commercialisation.He is also a member of Australian Institute of Enterprise Facilitators. Michael is also on the Board of St Dominics College High School in Kingswood. Is also co-founder of Generation YQ-a network for young professionals aged 18-35 years old. He is also a Board Member and Secretary of the Australian Institute of Enterprise Facilitators.
Emma Gosper Administration AssistantEmma lives in Glenmore Park and has been with the centre since January, 2007. Emma graduated from year 10 at St Joseph’s Central School in Oberon as Dux of the year and holds a Certificate III in Business Administration and Certificate IV in Business Administration. She is currently completing a Diploma of Management. Marianne Todd Part-Time Receptionist Marianne lives in Emu Plains and has been with the centre since August 2007. She has worked in Real Estate and Local Schools as well as a co-ordinator bringing Japanese Students to Australia for study tours.Also has been actively involved in community work with the elderly.She is currently completing a Diploma of Management.Marianne has also completed a secretarial & MYOB course at Tafe as well as several workshops on Powerpoint & Publisher. Kayleen O'Shea Part-Time Receptionist Kayleen lives at Glenmore Park and has been with the Centre since June 2011.She has many years experience in secreterial/receptionist type positions in leading Penrith based businesses. Tony Lackey ATQF Compliance Manager Tony is a resident of Penrith and has been with the Centre since May 2009.He is responsible for the compliance in regard to the Centre's Training activities.He holds a TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment,Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training,Associate Diploma in the Arts, Diploma in Management and a Diploma in Business.He has previously worked as Compliance Manager Hawkesbury Community College and Group Operations Manager for Panthers and has successfully operated his own small business.Bob Jeal B.Sc. FIEAust. FIM, FRAeS,FAICD, C.Eng Innovation Business Advisor Bob is a resident of Blaxland and has been with the Centre since October 2009. Bob graduated with a B.Sc in Physical Metallurgy from Birmingham University UK and is a Chartered Professional Engineer.He is a fellow of the Institute of Materials (UK) ,Institute of Engineers Australia,Royal Aeronautical Society and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.Bob specialises in assisting companies and individuals in the strategy,innovation,aquistition,application and management of business approaches,operating systems and technology in a wide range of product and service based industries.
John Galea Mentor/Business Advisor A resident of Emu Plains, John has been with the Centre since April 2009.He is semi-retired but still has a Director's role in a Sydney based company.John has a Certificate with the British Institute of Management, Accounting and Finance Management Certificate and a Diploma in Wood Science and Technology .John has had many years experience in Business Planning which includes Marketing,Stock Control,budgets etc.He also has extensive experience in the Retail Industry.John also has a Certificate in Business Facilitation with Tafe SA.
