The People Behind The Advisory Centre

John Todd, AIMM, MIEF, J.P

Executive Officer

John lives in Emu Plains and has lived in the Penrith / Lower Blue Mountains area all his life. John has been with the centre since July, 1992 and was previously a Bank Manager for the Westpac Banking Corporation for 20 years.

John is a Justice of the Peace and is a member of the following organisations:

  • Board member and foundation member of the Australian Institute of Enterprise Facilitators.
  • Committee member and Secretary of Penrith Valley Home Based Business Network.
  • Board Member of Business Innovation & Incubation Australia Inc.
  • Member of the Institute of Management.
  • Director of Penrith Valley Economic Development Corporation.
  • Manager Elite Youth League Representative Teams-Blacktown & Districts Soccer Football Association/Blacktown Spartans Football Club.
  • Past Director of Nepean Skillshare
  • Past chairperson for the BEC Central Regions Group.
  • Past board member of Penrith Nepean United Soccer Club.
  • Past committee member of Nepean District Soccer Football Association Inc. (10 years)

Jayne Garai

Manager, Hawkesbury & Katoomba Offices

Jayne lives in Katoomba and has operated successful small businesses and has been with the centre since November, 2004.

Jayne previously worked as a Code of Conduct & Ethics Presenter for the RTA and is an accredited Workplace Trainer Category 2. Jayne was also a Manager of Job Futures/ Job Quest.

Secretary and Director of BIZNET-Regional Chamber of Commerce and has a Certificate IV in Business Facilitation

Ian Willis

NEIS Co-ordinator and Business Advisor:

Ian has lived in Penrith since 1982 and has been with the centre since February, 1993.

Ian was previously employed by Westpac Banking Corporation and during that time gained experience in all levels of banking, including four years in the Bank's Unit Trust and Superannuation Division. He resigned in 1992 to start his own small business and holds a diploma in Advanced Business Facilitation. Ian is a life member of Mackillop Baseball Club.

Emma Gosper

Head Receptionist

Emma lives in Glenmore Park and has been with the centre since January, 2007. Emma graduated from year 10 at St Joseph’s Central School in Oberon and holds a Certificate III in Business Administration and is currently completing Certificate IV in Business Administration.

Marianne Todd

Part-Time Receptionist

Marianne lives in Emu Plains and has been with the centre since August 2007. She has worked in Real Estate and Local Schools as well as a co-ordinator bringing

Japanese Students to Australia.Also has been actively involved in community work with the elderly.

 

Mike Farnell

Business Advisor/Trainer/Mentor

Mike is a local resident and has been with the centre since 2007.He has had an extensive background in Business Development,Sales,Financial Planning and Franchises.Previously worked for Breakaway Travel and Jetset Travel as General Manager and Development Manager.
