The NEIS Program is Federal Government funded program designed to assist unemployed people start their own small business. Participants must be unemployed and in receipt of a Centrelink unemployment benefit such as Newstart Allowance. It involves a Cert IV Small Business Training Course which teaches everything about running a small business, mentor support and a fortnightly payment for twelve months.
